Workplace Essentials Workshops

Growcom’s highly regarded Workplace Essentials workshops are hitting the road again to help farm employers reduce risks and increase efficiency and compliance in their businesses. While each workshop will be catered to the needs of the region, this year’s series will focus on topics such as workplace health & safety obligations relating to COVID-19, workforce management, mental health and avoiding financial stress.

Growcom’s Workplace Essentials workshops support the development of a capable agricultural workforce by providing information and resources to farm business owners from a diverse range of agricultural industries including horticulture, broad acre cropping, grains, cotton, and grazing.

These workshops are all about reducing industry vulnerability by keeping farmers up to date with workplace laws and helping them to do the right thing.

By attending these workshops employers will have a much clearer understanding of where the gaps are in their policies and practices. Importantly, they will also be provided with useful links to industry relevant best practice resources to help address those gaps and establish positive practices in the workplace.

The Workplace Essentials workshops are open to all agricultural sectors throughout Queensland.

The 2020 Workplace Essentials workshops will be delivered in both face-to-face and webinar formats.
