AgFood Connect

Growcom has partnered with DGT Employment & Training to deliver AgFood Connect, an innovative pilot project that aims to create full-time jobs for individuals across agriculture.

Through the project, Growcom will engage with businesses in the agriculture industry, identifying skills requirements and suitable job and work experience opportunities to secure jobs for young people across South Queensland.

Growcom’s key outputs include:

  • Engaging with employers to identify suitable job opportunities
  • Working with employers to identify key skills needs for the design of pre-employment training programs and qualifications
  • Brokering jobs and work experience placements with businesses
  • Providing follow-up support and advice to participating businesses.
