Industry Recovery and Resilience
The Industry Recovery and Resilience Officer (IRRO) is supporting impacted primary producers recover from the 2021 - 2022 flooding and cyclone events in Southern, Central, Southeast and Western Queensland. Through the program, Growcom’s IRRO can support your business to develop Flood Management Plans to build resilience and identify strategies to mitigate farm business risk.

The Industry Recovery and Resilience Officer (IRRO) program is helping primary producers recover from the 2021-2022 flooding and cyclone events in Southern, Central, Southeast and Western Queensland.
IRRO’s are supporting agribusiness to develop Flood Management Plans to build resilience and identify strategies to mitigate farm business risk.
IRROs:
Provide support for short, medium, and longer-term recovery need, including flood mitigation resources for you and your staff.
Develop industry-specific, risk-based, on-farm Flood Management Plans, and connect you to technical advice.
Share information and provide links to existing support and services available to your business.

To be eligible for assistance your property must be located in one of the defined disaster areas:

Central Southern and Western Queensland Rainfall and Flooding event (10 November – 3 December 2021)
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Seth (29 December 2021 – 10 January 2022)

A Flood Management Plan assists your business to identify the specific risks associated with flooding (eg. mapping of flood scenarios, seasonal agricultural production activities, management practices and current infrastructure) to outline new actions to respond to those risks and recover from these events.

The Primary Producer Flood Management Grant Scheme offers rebates to eligible primary producers of up to $7,500 towards the costs of professional advice to improve resilience to flooding and high rainfall.
The rebate aims to help primary producers offset all or part of the cost of eligible professional advice to improve the resilience of their primary production enterprise to flooding and high rainfall and develop a Flood Management Plan.
