Good business management practices are the key to a successful, profitable business. Farmers who are just starting out or wanting to take their business to the next level have an opportunity to strengthen their business management skills with funding from the Queensland Government to undertake the AHCSS00030 Farm Business Management Skill Set.
“This course caters to all levels of business, whether you are just starting out, have been in your farm business for many years or work in a position of management on a farm. The course has given me the confidence to set objectives and goals, analyse strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for our farm business and given me motivation to make action plans for our short term and long term future, identifying risks and putting management plans in place. The knowledge I have gained from attending this course has been invaluable and I would encourage anyone thinking about it, no matter how long you have been in your farm business, to do it. The group involvement was enjoyable and the guidance has had a very positive impact. It is essential to keep up to date with modern developments and this course will definitely take your farm business in the right direction.” — Louise Bowman, workshop attendee
