Growcom continues to deliver our successful Workplace Essentials Seminars attracting participants from a variety of agricultural industries. The highly regarded workshop series has been held in major production regions throughout Queensland since 2015 assisting farm employers to reduce risks and increase efficiencies and compliance in their businesses.
Taking into consideration COVID-19 restrictions the 2020 workshop series was delivered via face-to-face workshops and weekly webinars and included a focus on COVID-19 workplace health and safety obligations.
Workplace Essentials Seminars support the development of a capable agricultural workforce by providing information and resources to farm business owners from a diverse range of agricultural industries including broadacre cropping, grains, cotton, grazing and horticulture.
It has been our experience the vast majority of agricultural employers want to do the right thing, but ever–changing regulations often lead to confusion about what is needed to remain compliant. By attending these workshops employers gained a much clearer understanding of where the gaps were in their policies and practices.
